 I love the stories and myths that correspond to the constellations in the sky.  Ben wrote a mini story to go along with each of the zodiac necklaces and I'll be posting them on a monthly basis with the current zodiac sign.

Libra

What better place to hang the scales of justice than in the sky, visible to all, but out of reach to those who would seek to ‘fix’ them? Leave such things to the “minor” goddesses who concern themselves with balance, with goodness and right.

The Libra Constellation Necklace was first drawn with pencil and paper and then carved out of wax and cast into sterling silver and brass.  Both necklaces are available in the shop.  

In astrology Libras are born between September 22 and October 23 and are said to prioritize balance and enjoy partnerships. The Libra constellation forms the image of a scale.

Virgo Cuff Bracelet

The new Virgo cuff bracelet in the works.

I am looking forward to seeing hoe this comes out.  I am hoping to do all the Zodiac constellations as bracelets as well as the necklaces.

My biggest challenge with making bracelets is that I have ridiculously small wrists. Bracelets don't normally fit me.  So, when I am trying to size the bracelets I have to kind of guess on the sizing.  I know they should be in between my wrist size and Ben's size.

Anyone want to come over and be my wrist model?

Astraea is somewhat unusual in her family, pure and just, while most others are famously driven by desire, careless, even cruel. The eternal maiden earned her pedestal in the sky out of love for one who could watch over all while looking down on none.

In astrology Virgos are born between August 22 and September 22 and are said to have great attention for detail and introverted. The Virgo constellation forms the image of a maiden.

Leo

Leo

Once the beast was more well-known than his conqueror - a terror to the countryside, strong and fierce, invulnerable to weapons. The hero found his weakness, however, denying him breath, and wore his great hide thereafter on many famous adventures. The gods reward strength, and now Leo resides in space, air no longer an issue.

In astrology Leos are born between July 22 and August 22 and are said to be ambitious and creative. The Leo constellation forms the image of a lion.

The Zodiac Collection

Now available in the shop.

The Zodiac Collection depicts the constellations of the twelve zodiac signs.

Each constellation was sketched with pencil and paper and then carved into wax to be cast into sterling silver or golden colored brass.  Check it out and let me know what you think.
